A loan is a type of debt. Like all debt instruments, a loan entails the redistribution of financial assets over time, between the lender and the borrower.

Going out of business may require filing Chapter 11, which is a chapter of the United States Bankruptcy Code, that permits reorganization under the bankruptcy laws of the United States. Chapter 11 bankruptcy is available to every business, whether organized as a corporation or sole proprietorship, and to individuals, although it is most prominently used by corporate entities. Being committed to a business may mean lack of freedom to do other things and to go as you please.
